ANOTHER ANOTHER (1999)
Documentary produced by Pieter van Huystee Film
International Film Festival Rotterdam
Bea de Viser studies monumental design and painting at the academies for Plastic Arts in Breda and Rotterdam. She leaves the academy to continue her education by studying electro-acoustic sound. She starts her career as a performance artist on the stages of trendy clubs and alternative art spaces with sound works, live installations and noise performances. In the early 80ies, with two friends of the 'Ultra' scene, she forms the very temporary music collective Valori Plastici. She returns to painting and for two years is associated with the 'Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten' in Amsterdam (1993-1994). As from then, film is her medium. The work she has been developing ever since is shown world-wide in musea and art spaces, theatres, the public space and especially the cinema.
Bea de Visser's present activities include personal coaching of students in several disciplines like film, dramaturgy, theatrical design, autonomous audio-visual design and autonomous plastic arts at universities and academies in the Netherlands and abroad.
In 2003 Bea de Visser establishes the independent production studio Anotherfilm in Rotterdam. Initially the studio, with its negative scanner and equipment for online and digital image editing, is her head room for scenario and film development, and serves as a tool for pre- and post-production of all her film projects. At the end of 2005 Bea de Visser starts working as a producer for other film makers, while Anotherfilm expands into a production company, focused on those film makers who keep the wide field of cinema adventurous. Anotherfilm, as a co-producer, intends to actively cooperate and link up with the realisation and funding of independent quality films, theatre and film scenography and film installations on national and international scale.
